A group of local citizens interested in documenting the history of Aubrey has recently organized the Aubrey Historical Society.
Help preserve Aubrey’s history, your family history, your story. Join the Aubrey Historical Society. The Aubrey Historical Society is beginning steps to record and document the history of Aubrey and surrounding communities. The goal of the society is to publish a book that preserves the history of the Aubrey community and the families and institutions that have comprised Aubrey.
Society members are interested in finding photographs of early Aubrey business, organizations, public events, settler families, doctors, churches, schools, railroad, cotton, peanuts and other farming activities.
Also needed are pictures, diagrams, maps and other items that are of historical significance. All media loaned for the project will be returned. All material will be logged and a receipt issued.
In addition, your family and you have a story to tell and The Aubrey Historical Society is here to help tell the stories and preserve history.
